  • “Thank you so much for arranging the christmas lunch yesterday. It was a superb start to the festive season. The food was excellent and enabled us to appreciate the wines “in context”.  I enjoyed in particular the Roger Brun Champagne – just right to get the appetite going. Of the meal wines, I enjoyed them all, but especially the Enira 2008 and the port. Everybody was in festive mood and the atmosphere in the room was warm and joyful.” Pat & David Morris, Harrogate, 2 December

  • “Thank you for a  happy occasion yesterday as we celebrated with an excellent meal, well  chosen wines in plenty and in good company. A most enjoyable ending to 2013, another year of good tastings with HMWS. The Masonic Hall is imposing yet comfortable and it was fitting that John Shore thanked Adam Vere and his staff for their attention. Gwynneth ran the raffle efficiently, as always. We were all pleased to endorse John’s thanks to Ramani and yourself for your time and effort on behalf of HMWS members and to wish you both Bon voyage until we meet again in 2014. Enjoy a relaxing time and ‘chill out’.” – Drs. Alisdair & Elma Stewart, Harrogate, 2 December
  • “That was an excellent party yesterday and Adam did us proud. The Masonic Hall is turning out to be a winner isn’t it? Judging by the numbers present, others thought the same.
The amount of wine consumed was phenomenal, it was very generous of you. I shall be having my 2nd glass of Bulgarian tonight after College due to me being the designated driver yesterday.
Have a safe journey to Sri Lanka and have a lovely time there.” – Ann & Charles Joslin, Harrogate, 2 December

  2. Christmas Lunch was the final HMWS event of 2013 and I thank members for their support. It would be good to hear about the standards of service, quality of wine and Adam Vear’s cooking. A number of tasting suppers and the Summer Dinner Dance are to be held at the Masonic Hall.
